Key Rule Changes Confirmed for 2026
- Age Limit Removal: In accordance with state health department directives, the upper age limit of 35 years has been officially removed. Candidates of any age (above 17 years) meeting academic eligibility can apply.
- Category-2 Scoring: Life Science and Physical Science sections feature Category-2 questions carrying 2 marks. Selecting any incorrect option results in 0 marks, but there is no negative mark deduction. Partial marks are awarded if some correct options are selected and no wrong one is marked.
- Tie-Breaking Rules: If two candidates obtain the same total score, the board determines ranks based on higher marks in Life Science, followed by Physical Science, English, Mathematics, and lastly, fewer negative marks.
